Celebrating Excellence: Honor Roll and Conference Scholar Athletes Shine Bright!

We are excited to announce the outstanding achievements of our students, both academically and athletically in Trimester 1 this year.  A remarkable 268 students have earned a place on the academic honor roll, showcasing their dedication to excellence in the classroom.  More specifically, we recognize 45 students on the High Honor Roll, boasting an impressive 4.0 GPA. Additionally, 58 students have earned a place on the A Honor Roll and 165 students have secured a spot on the B Honor Roll. These achievements reflect the hard work and commitment of our students to their academic pursuits.

We also recognized 41 student-athletes who have not only excelled academically but have also been recognized as Conference Scholar Athletes. These student-athletes, representing soccer, football, cross country, and volleyball, have demonstrated excellence both on the field and in the classroom.  To be named a Conference Scholar Athlete is a testament to the commitment these individuals have shown to both their sport and academics. Each honoree not only earned a varsity letter but also maintained an impressive GPA of 3.5 or higher during Trimester 1. We take great pride in acknowledging these dedicated individuals, as they truly embody the spirit of student-athletes.

A noteworthy achievement is that 99 fall athletes maintained a GPA of 3.0 or higher during Trimester 1. This success underscores the positive impact of participating in extracurricular activities, such as sports. Engaging in these activities fosters essential skills like discipline, teamwork, and time management, which are crucial both on and off the playing field.  The discipline required to balance the demands of sports and academics contributes to the overall development of well-rounded individuals, preparing them for the challenges they may encounter in their future endeavors. Furthermore, involvement in extracurricular activities has been linked to improved mental health, increased self-esteem, and a sense of belonging.

We encourage students to explore the myriad benefits of participating in extracurricular activities by reaching out to Mr. Anderson to learn more. Congratulations to all of our honor roll students and conference scholar athletes.
