Arcadia School District Referendum: Investing in Student Success
The Arcadia School District is seeking community support for a non-recurring operational referendum in April 2025 to ensure students continue receiving high-quality education. Wisconsin’s school funding system places a significant financial burden on local taxpayers, as state funding for public schools has remained frozen despite rising costs and increasing demands on school districts.
The referendum is designed to maintain essential programs, retain quality staff, and provide students with the resources they need to succeed. This includes funding for academic programs, student support services, extracurricular activities, and state and federally mandated services like special education.
School referendums have become a necessary tool for districts across Wisconsin to bridge financial gaps and ensure students have access to high-quality instruction and learning opportunities. The proposed referendum will help Arcadia continue preparing students for success in an ever-changing world.
